Every bit as essential as it isn’t, the PIPETTE is an extra-long glass straw that should have permanent residency in the purse of any self-respecting vampire or coquette. Durable borosilicate glass and a pointed end make it ideal for spontaneously siphoning the lifeblood out of juicy fruits and vegetables, and its 14.5” length make any wine or champagne bottle sippable sans coupe. A hammered brass mouthpiece liken its appearance to an opera cigarette, or even a magic wand...which, as a conduit of its own kind, the PIPETTE truly is.

The piece was inspired by Vegetarian Vampires, a painting by Remedios Varo — a female surrealist painter and 1/3 of the "Witches of Surrealism," and truly my favorite artist of all time. The painting features three radiant vampiric creatures, each drinking the juice of bright red fruits through a straw as chicken-esque creatures frolic on leashes at their feet. I’ve been enamored with the image from the moment I saw it, delighted by its ideology and aesthetic…I only wish Varo were still alive so I could invite her out for a drink🩸

Each PIPETTE comes in a black velvet sheath, and makes a strange + beautiful hostess gift when offered singularly alongside a bottle of wine…or an intriguing party favor when gracing each place setting at a table full of sexy little vampires.
