COLLECTION X IS A SARTORIAL DIARY OF THE ORDER; A VISUAL + CONCEPTUAL AMALGAM OF REFERENCES TO THE PREVIOUS NINE COLLECTIONS.

Collection X is deeply premised on the notion of time and entropy, and the natural progression from order to disorder as time moves forward. As past and future collide in a single moment, that moment is framed simultaneously by creation and destruction; signifying the dissolution of one narrative into another.

The unisex garments of this collection are layered and highly detailed, each piece bearing aesthetic traces of its original form and narrative in varying degrees of decay. Texturally significant components such as painted patches, silk lacing, exaggerated bows and raw-edge detail converge with black fabrics of varying sheen and opacity to create original pieces whose inimitable nature render each reproduction a one-of-a-kind work of art.

The collection was photographed live at the TRIFE/X/TA launch event, offering guests a glimpse behind the curtain of production and and an opportunity to interact with the garments directly + tangibly. The live shoot echoed THE ORDER’s ‘fuck the runway’ slogan as a cheeky slight to runway as a spectacle, and to the lofty conventions perpetuated by the fashion industry at large.
